The old reliable split window Kombi of the early '60s was a favourite for weekend surf safaris. It was a mobile home to many of us. The Balsa wood kneeboard leaning against the van depicts another very popular surfing device of the '60s, which for some is still their chosen wave riding medium today.

Medium is gauche on professional quality illustration board.
