After some early morning waves the boys need to replenish their empty stomachs at the nearest diner. The Reef Cafe is typical of the many diners and cafes that sprung up along the beautiful Californian coastline in the 1960s.
In the foreground are three popular surf wagons of the era - a Ford Econoline Panel Van, a Woody, and a Pontiac Sedan.
