The 60's/Bus To Nowhere (or Hippy Bus)

This painting was featured on Sydney Weekender (Channel 9 TV program) when they did a feature on the upcoming Surf festival and surf art exhibition starting 17th August 2008 in Port Macquarie.
Traveling wherever the waves take them, these free spirited surfers make the best of an old public transport bus, by pulling out a few seats and converting it into a communal mobile home. The day is fading into night and its time to hang out, tell a few tales, play a few tunes and relax with a few beers after a long day in the surf. What a magic life style for some in the early 1970's.
